กสิกรไทย – ดีเอชแอล เอ๊กซ์เพรสลงนามร่วมโครงการ GoGreen Plus เพื่อสนับสนุนการขนส่งเอกสารทางการค้าข้ามประทศด้วยเชื้อเพลิงการบินที่ยั่งยืน หรือ Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) ซึ่งจะช่วยลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ โดยกสิกรไทยเป็นธนาคารแรกที่เข้าร่วมโครงการ เพื่อสนับสนุนให้ลูกค้าธุรกิจของธนาคารได้เป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการรักษ์โลกไปด้วยกัน โดยคาดว่าจะสามารถลดปริมาณก๊าซเรือนกระจกทั้งหมดตลอดวัฏจักรชีวิตผลิตภัณฑ์ (Life-cycle Carbon Footprint) ได้ราว 70-80% เทียบกับการใช้น้ำมันเครื่องบินทั่วไป และลดการปล่อยสารอันตรายที่เป็นอนุภาคเล็กและกำมะถัน ซึ่งเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการขับเคลื่อนภาคธุรกิจไปสู่ Net Zero Emission ได้อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืน
นายกุลวัชร์ พุ่มเทียน ผู้ช่วยกรรมการผู้จัดการ ธนาคารกสิกรไทย เปิดเผยว่า “ ธนาคารกสิกรไทยดำเนินธุรกิจบนหลักการธนาคารแห่งควมยั่งยืน (Bank of Sustainability) โดยดำเนินนโยบายด้านสิ่งแวดล้อม ลดการปล่อยก๊าซคาร์บอนไดออกไซด์ในการให้บริการของธนาคารมาโดยตลอด สำหรับโครงการ GoGreen Plus ของดีเอชแอล เอ๊กซ์เพรสเป็นโครงการที่มีวัตถุประสงค์ตรงกับเป้าหมายของธนาคาร จึงเข้าร่วมโครงการนี้เป็นธนาคารแรกเพื่อสนับสนุนและส่งเสริมลูกค้าธุรกิจของธนาคารที่ต้องนำส่งเอกสารทางการค้า โดยเฉพาะปรับเปลี่ยนมาใช้การขนส่งด้วยเชื้อเพลิงการบินที่ยั่งยืนสำหรับการขนส่งเอกสารระหว่างประเทศ โดยลูกค้าไม่มีค่าใช้จ่ายเพิ่มเติม เพื่อให้ทุกภาคส่วนได้มีส่วนช่วยกันลดภาวะโลกร้อน ซึ่งเป็นเป้าหมายสำคัญที่ทุกคนต้องจับมือร่วมกัน “

โครงการครั้งนี้ นอกจากจะลดปริมาณก๊าซเรือนกระจกทั้งหมดตลอดวัฏจักรชีวิตผลิตภัณฑ์ (Life-cycle Carbon Footprint) ได้ราว 70-80% เทียบกับการใช้น้ำมันเครื่องบินทั่วไป ยังจะช่วยลดการปล่อยสารอันตรายที่เป็นอนุภาคเล็กและกำมะถันจากการใช้เชื้อเพลิงการบินที่ยั่งยืน อันเกิดจากกิจกรรมการขนส่งทั้งการรับและส่งเอกสารทางการค้าซึ่งเป็นหนึ่งในกระบวนการซัพพลายเชนของธุรกิจนำเข้าส่งออก และร่วมเป็นส่วนหนึ่งในการขับเคลื่อนภาคธุรกิจเข้าสู่ Net Zero Carbon Emissions ได้อย่างมั่นคงและยั่งยืนอีกด้วย
KBank partners with DHL Express to reduce carbon emissions from the cross-border transportation of shipping documents by using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), being the first bank to join the GoGreen Plus project
KASIKORNBANK (KBank) and DHL Express have jointly engaged in the GoGreen Plus project to support the cross-border transportation of shipping documents using sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) in order to reduce carbon emissions. Being the first bank to join this project, KBank is determined to support its business customers in contributing to environmental conservation. This effort is expected to significantly reduce the overall life-cycle carbon footprint by approximately 70-80 percent compared to the use of conventional aviation fuel, while also cutting the emission of harmful substances, including small particles and sulfur. This initiative will contribute to the journey towards net-zero emission operations in a sustainable manner.

We have implemented environmental policy that focuses on the reduction of carbon footprint in our services. These emissions are generated during logistics activities – the receipt and delivery of shipping documents – which are integral to the supply chain process in import-export businesses. Additionally, the effort will help drive the business sector towards achieving net zero carbon emissions in a stable and sustainable manner.
