นายปฐมชัย แตงน้อย รักษาการกรรมการผู้จัดการ บริษัท คิวบิกซ์ ดิจิทัล แอสเซท จำกัด เปิดเผยว่า การแปลงสินทรัพย์หรือโครงการที่เกี่ยวข้องกับสิ่งแวดล้อมให้อยู่ในรูปแบบของโทเคนดิจิทัล (Green Tokenization) ยังเป็นแนวคิดใหม่ในประเทศไทย ขณะที่ในระดับสากลหลายองค์กรได้เริ่มพัฒนาโครงการ Tokenized Carbon Credit อย่างจริงจังแล้ว โดยตลาดคาร์บอนเครดิตต้องการความโปร่งใส น่าเชื่อถือ และระบบที่เชื่อมโยงกับตลาดการเงินได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพ ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่ Kubix มุ่งมั่นพัฒนาระบบที่ตอบโจทย์ภาคธุรกิจไทย และผลักดันให้ตลาดคาร์บอนเครดิตของประเทศไทยเติบโตอย่างยั่งยืนและแข่งขันในระดับสากลได้ในอนาคต
ล่าสุด Kubix ได้ร่วมมือกับ InterOpera ผู้ให้บริการแพลตฟอร์ม OperaX สำหรับการซื้อขายคาร์บอนเครดิต ในก้าวแรกของความร่วมมือครั้งนี้ Kubix จะได้ศึกษาแนวทางใหม่และประเมินศักยภาพของแพลตฟอร์มซื้อขายคาร์บอนเครดิตและใบรับรองพลังงานหมุนเวียนจาก InterOpera ซึ่งมีจุดเด่นด้านความโปร่งใส ประสิทธิภาพ และการเชื่อมโยงกับตลาดในระดับภูมิภาค พร้อมตั้งเป้าหมายที่จะนำองค์ความรู้ที่ได้มาพัฒนาและยกระดับโครงสร้างระบบ ทั้งด้านการแปลงคาร์บอนเครดิตเป็นโทเคนดิจิทัล (Tokenized Carbon Credit) ระบบเสนอขาย และกระบวนการชำระราคาและเก็บรักษาทรัพย์สิน เพื่อให้รองรับการซื้อขายโทเคนคาร์บอนเครดิตของไทยได้อย่างครบวงจร ควบคู่กับการเพิ่มโอกาสให้แก่ภาคธุรกิจผู้ออกโทเคนดิจิทัลในการเข้าถึงตลาดที่กว้างขึ้นและรองรับการเติบโตของตลาดคาร์บอนเครดิตทั่วโลก ซึ่งมีการคาดการณ์ว่าจะมีมูลค่าสูงถึง 1 ล้านล้านดอลลาร์สหรัฐฯ ภายในปี พ.ศ. 2580 (อ้างอิงจาก BloombergNEF)
ทั้งนี้ ประเทศไทยมีศักยภาพสูงในการพัฒนาโครงการคาร์บอนเครดิตจากแหล่งธรรมชาติ เช่น ป่าไม้และป่าชายเลน ซึ่งสามารถกักเก็บคาร์บอนได้มากกว่าป่าเขตร้อนทั่วไปอย่างมีนัยสำคัญและยังเป็นแหล่ง “บลูคาร์บอน” ที่สำคัญในภูมิภาค นอกจากนี้ หลายพื้นที่ยังมีการบริหารจัดการโดยชุมชนที่มีส่วนร่วมในการฟื้นฟูและดูแลทรัพยากรท้องถิ่น ส่งผลให้เกิดประโยชน์ทั้งด้านเศรษฐกิจ ความหลากหลายทางชีวภาพ และความยั่งยืน ซึ่งเป็นปัจจัยที่ตลาดคาร์บอนภาคสมัครใจให้ความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง Kubix เชื่อมั่นว่าการแปลงคาร์บอนเครดิตเหล่านี้ให้เป็นโทเคนดิจิทัลจะเป็นกุญแจสำคัญที่ช่วยเพิ่มความโปร่งใส ตรวจสอบย้อนกลับได้ และขยายการเข้าถึงตลาดรองระดับสากลสำหรับคาร์บอนเครดิตคุณภาพของไทยในอนาคต

(Kubix) has partnered with InterOpera, the platform provider of OperaX for carbon credit trading in Singapore, to explore new approaches to developing infrastructure that will enhance the issuance and trading of tokenized carbon credits. The collaboration aims to leverage this knowledge to develop and elevate its system infrastructure, covering the tokenization of carbon credits, the offering platform, and settlement and custody processes. Thailand holds substantial potential for high quality, nature-based carbon credits from its forests and mangroves, offering significant carbon sequestration and crucial biodiversity and social co-benefits for local communities highly valued in the voluntary carbon market.
