ศ.นพ. กุลวี ยังได้กล่าวว่า สถาบันโรคหัวใจบำรุงราษฎร์ พร้อมยกระดับการรักษาผู้ป่วยโรคหัวใจขั้นรุนแรงด้วยเทคโนโลยี Mechanical Circulatory Support (MCS) ที่ครอบคลุม เช่น เทคโนโลยี LVAD หรือ Left Ventricular Assist Device เพื่อการพยุงหัวใจระยะยาวและเป็นสะพานรอรับการปลูกถ่ายหัวใจ, ECMO สำหรับการช่วยพยุงหัวใจและปอดชั่วคราวในภาวะวิกฤต และเทคโนโลยี pVAD (Percutaneous ventricular assist device: Impella) เครื่องปั๊มหัวใจขนาดเล็กที่ได้รับการอนุมัติจากองค์การอาหารและยาของสหรัฐอเมริกา (FDA) โดยเป็นอุปกรณ์ช่วยเหลือการทำงานของหัวใจห้องล่างผ่านสายสวน สามารถสูบฉีดเลือดได้ถึง 4.3 ลิตรต่อนาที เทียบเท่ากับหัวใจของคนปกติที่สามารถปั๊มเลือดได้ประมาณ 3-5 ลิตรต่อนาที การใช้อุปกรณ์นี้ไม่เพียงช่วยให้หัวใจสูบฉีดเลือดไปเลี้ยงร่างกายได้มากขึ้น แต่ยังช่วยลดความเสี่ยงของการเสียชีวิตจากภาวะช็อก โดยอัตราการเสียชีวิตของผู้ป่วยที่ 180 วันลดลงถึง 26% และเมื่อใช้ร่วมกับเครื่อง ECMO ในการรักษาแบบ “ECpella” ก็สามารถช่วยให้ผู้ป่วยวิกฤตมีโอกาสรอดชีวิตและฟื้นตัวได้มากขึ้น จุดแข็งของบำรุงราษฎร์คือทีมแพทย์สหสาขาที่มีความเชี่ยวชาญและผ่านการฝึกอบรมเข้มข้น สามารถเลือกใช้อุปกรณ์ที่เหมาะสมกับผู้ป่วยแต่ละรายได้อย่างมีประสิทธิภาพสูงสุด
