นายธนัท วงษ์ชูแก้ว กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัทหลักทรัพย์ กรุงศรี จำกัด (มหาชน) เปิดเผยว่า “บล.กรุงศรีได้มีการแต่งตั้งผู้บริหารรุ่นใหม่เสริมทัพเพื่อยกระดับการให้บริการและเพิ่มผลิตภัณฑ์การลงทุนใหม่ๆ เพื่อให้ครอบคลุมความต้องการในการลงทุนที่หลากหลาย เพราะช่วงเวลา 2 ปีที่ผ่านมาจากวิกฤตโควิด เทรนด์ความสนใจในการลงทุนนั้นสูงขึ้นมากโดยพิจารณาจากการเติบโตของจำนวนบัญชีและปริมาณการซื้อขายต่อวันของตลาดหุ้นไทยและของบริษัท โดยตัวเลขลูกค้าบุคคลที่เปิดบัญชีในปี 2564 เติบโตขึ้น 191% เมื่อเปรียบเทียบกับปีก่อนหน้า โดยคิดเป็นลูกค้าที่ลงทุนผ่านระบบออนไลน์มากกว่า 60% ซึ่งคาดว่าลูกค้ากลุ่มนี้จะเพิ่มขึ้นอย่างต่อเนื่อง สำหรับปี 2565 บล.กรุงศรี มุ่งหวังขยายฐานนักลงทุนเพิ่มอีก 10,000 บัญชี โดยตั้งเป้าส่วนแบ่งตลาดไว้ที่ 1.58% และรายได้เติบโตไม่ต่ำกว่า 13%”
ตั้งแต่ต้นปี 2565 ที่ผ่านมา บล.กรุงศรีได้เน้นทำการตลาดออนไลน์มากขึ้นรวมถึงเพิ่มช่องทางการเข้าถึงข้อมูล เพิ่มสินค้าและบริการ เพื่อให้ตอบโจทย์นักลงทุนโดยเฉพาะนักลงทุน Gen X และ Gen Y ซึ่งเป็นกลุ่มคนที่มีความสนใจด้านการลงทุนเพิ่มมากขึ้น บริษัทฯยังได้พัฒนาระบบการเปิดบัญชีออนไลน์และอนุมัติบัญชีในเวลาเพียง 1 นาที หากลูกค้ายืนยันตัวตนผ่านระบบ NDID หรือ ยืนยันตัวตนผ่านระบบ Krungsri i-CONFIRM ที่ธนาคารกรุงศรีอยุธยาและบริษัทในเครือ รวมถึงสาขาพันธมิตรทั่วประเทศ การฝากเงินหลักประกันแบบเรียลไทม์ที่เพิ่มความสะดวกในการโอนเงินเข้าบัญชีหลักทรัพย์ได้รวดเร็วยิ่งขึ้น การเพิ่มเครื่องมืออย่าง KSS stock AI ที่ใช้ระบบ AI ในการสแกนหุ้นทั้งในเชิงปัจจัยพื้นฐานและปัจจัยเทคนิค ในรูปแบบการให้คะแนนหุ้นนั้นๆ ทำให้นักลงทุนสามารถค้นหาหุ้นคุณภาพดีด้วยตนเองได้ทุกวัน รวมถึงปัจจุบันกำลังพัฒนาแอปพลิเคชั่น KSS Stock Expert ให้ทันสมัยและสามารถเข้าถึงกลุ่มคนรุ่นใหม่ที่สนใจในการลงทุน

Krungsri Securities launches KSS iGlobal, a foreign investment app that enables new generation to invest even in small amount; realigns management team to drive the company forward to become a ‘Full Service Digital Broker’.
Bangkok (27 June 2022) – Krungsri Securities Plc. (KSS) enhances its management structure by bringing in young executives, striving to grow its online business to become a Digital Broker in response to the new investment trends as well as strengthening the business position. The Company also unveils the new app, KSS iGlobal to cater to the needs of retail investors in trading foreign securities in one single application. Initially, investors can conveniently invest in major exchanges in 5 countries, namely, USA, Vietnam, Japan, Singapore and Hong Kong, in one app. This marks the first time of the Thai securities industry that investors can trade both full and fractional shares in the US market through a single application and reflects the efforts of the Company in creating new financial innovations that satisfy all customer segments in accordance with Krungsri’s ‘One Retail’ strategy.
Mr. Thanat Wongchukaew, Managing Director at Krungsri Securities Plc. (KSS), said “Krungsri Securities has recently appointed new generation executives to enhance the Company’s service quality and increase the variety of investment products to meet the different investment needs. Over the past 2 years, the COVID-19 pandemic has brought in a growing interest in investing as evidences shown from the growth of securities trading accounts and the average daily trading volume of the Thai stock market and the Company. The number of retail investors opening a trading accounts in 2021 jumped by as high as 191% over the prior year, more than 60% of which are those investing via online investment platforms. The rising trend of this online segment is expected to continue. Since the beginning of 2022, Krungsri Securities has emphasized the implementation of online marketing including the increase of information access channels and adding of new products and services to match the investment preference of Gen X and Gen Y investors whose interest in investing has increased significantly. In addition, Krungsri Securities has developed the online account opening and approval system that takes only one minute for the whole process if the customer verifies his identity through the NDID platform or through the Krungsri i-CONFIRM services at the premises of Bank of Ayudhya and its subsidiaries as well as the branch offices of business partners nationwide. KSS iGlobal is a trading and investing platform innovation that enables investors to invest in the stocks of more than 80 countries in one app, including the trading of stocks in Vietnam, allowing customers to view the status of the investment portfolio easily. This year, the Company will pilot the service by allowing trading in 5 stock exchanges that are familiar to Thai investors: the US Stock Exchange, the Vietnam Stock Exchange, the Japan Stock Exchange, the Singapore Stock Exchange and the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Moreover, KSS iGlobal allows direct fractional share investing in stocks and exchange traded funds (ETFs) of more than 3,000 securities in the US stock market. In investing with fractional shares, investors can specify the initial investment amount as desired and the system will then calculate to number of shares they can buy, which is the same calculation method as investing in cryptocurrency. By investing in fractional shares, investors own the securities although it might be less than one full share and are entitled to the dividend payout which is proportional to the amount of the share they own. It also mitigates the intra-day foreign currency risk and enables new generation of retail investors with small amount of starting funds, to own the stocks of popular technology or luxury brand companies in the US stock market with investing amount depending to their preference. In the future, fractional share trading will be allowed in other stock exchanges. It is expected that investors will be able to trade fractional shares in Hong Kong and Japan stock exchanges by the end of this year.
